My name is Shaelynne Wachlin. I have three associate degrees as well as two years of upper division studies. I have a strong and broad academic background for teaching. At Portland Community College, I earned Associates Degrees in Science, Arts and General Studies. At Western Oregon University, I minored in American Sign Language interpretation for the deaf.
I coached volleyball at Rex Putnam High School (where I lettered in sports). I played the clarinet in high school and in my church instrumental groups. I have also interpreted for the deaf, and I have created and directed numerous women’s classes, workshops and retreats.
I have been on twelve different missions trips to Mexico and Guatemala and I bring mission projects to my classroom as well as to the students of Grace Christian School.
My family and I attend Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church where I have taught Sunday school for 10 years as well as being active in women’s ministries, various leadership roles and committees.
My husband, Jed, works for the Clackamas Fire District. We have been married for 16 years and have 3 children, Brinsley (14), Gabrielle (12), and Josiah (9).
